Yale cancels all study abroad programs for the spring semester

As Omnicron cases spike globally, Yale’s Center for International and Professional Experience (CIPE) has canceled all study abroad programs for the spring semester. The decision came weeks before the commencement of this year’s spring semester study abroad programs.

Kelly McLaughlin, the CIPE Director for Study Abroad at Yale, said that the verdict came in sync with the Yale University International Travel Policy, which is constantly being updated throughout the global pandemic.

The news comes as a blow to many Yale students who have been waiting for a chance to spend a semester studying abroad.
