Malaysia uplifts travel restrictions, re-allowing entry to international passengers

The Malaysian government recently announced its plans to remove covid-imposed travel restrictions. Starting April 1, 2022, the country will allow entry to all international citizens

Fully-vaccinated travelers will be required to take the RT-PCR test two days before boarding the flight and a rapid test within 24 hours of arriving in the country. However, vaccinated passengers won’t be required to quarantine.

Unvaccinated travelers would be required to be quarantined for 5 days after taking all the necessary tests.

The move is well-timed, as Malaysia’s higher education system has its eyes set on grabbing a seat among the top 10 higher education destinations in the world.

Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), a company that overlooks and facilitates international student enrollment at Malaysian universities, is all set to restart its operational service in Kuala Lumpur.

With more than 400 universities, Malaysia is a favorable choice for many study-abroad aspirants. Not only does it offer internationally ranked and recognized programs, but also provides a dynamic, diverse, and secure lifestyle to international students.
